As previously announced, THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine 2011 Tony Awards including Best Musical, will make its West Coast premiere in a strictly limited 12-week engagement from September 5 through November 25, 2012 at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. Tickets for the engagement will go on sale to the general public June 10, the LA Times reports today. (more...)

The 26th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition raised $3,677,855, the result of six weeks of intensive fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS by 51 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies. The grand total was announced Tuesday at this year's Easter Bonnet Competition, which ended in two shows featuring original presentations, songs, dances and 18 elaborate, custom-made bonnets. Mickey & Judy was a sold out hit at last year's Toronto Fringe Festival and is now off to NYC and Edinburgh! Before it makes its' international debut the show will return to The Toronto Centre for the Arts for one night only on April 21st, 2012. A one-night-only staged reading of 8, the play about the federal court trial contesting the Proposition 8 voter ban in 2008 on same sex marriage in California, will have its New Jersey premiere at Montclair State University on Saturday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium. 8 had its single-night Broadway premiere last September and its only West Coast performance in Los Angeles on March 3, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
