Broadway Records Releases a Series of Live at 54 Below CDs

One of the newest ventures of Broadway Records is the release of a new series of CDs recorded live at 54 Below in New York City. The first singer to open the elegant new night club space was Broadway's extraordinary Patti Lupone last June, 2012. So it is only fitting that her Far Away Places be the first recording. Two-time Tony Award winning actor/singer Norbert Leo Butz played the room in August, 2012. His exciting Memories & Mayhem is the second live CD released. (more...)

Award-winning composer Jeremy Schonfeld (Drift, 37 Notebooks) has announced that Broadway's own Titus Burgess (Jersey Boys, The Little Mermaid), Adam Kantor (Rent) and Morgan James (Godspell, Motown) are many performers from the worlds of Broadway, television and music who will take the stage with him for the one night only event "JEREMY SCHONFELD & THE BROADWAY MESSIAHS" on Monday January 28th at the newly re-designed Cutting Room recently reopened at its new location (44 East 32nd Street, New York, NY) at 7:30 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM). Famed performance space Joe's Pub has announced a revised upcoming line up of event in November and early December. Performers include Lauren Abrose, Coleman Domingo, Capathia Jenkins and Louis Rosen, Hair's Caissie Levy, and more. Kelly Joe Phelps who was previously scheduled to perform on 11/14, has pulled out and has been replaced PT Walkley. (more...)

Directed by Donnie Kehr, ROCKERS ON BROADWAY-Celebrating the '60s honored the songs and performers from Rock's greatest decade and will feature a 'who's who' of classic recording artists performing alongside some of the biggest stars on Broadway, all to benefit Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS, Broadway Dreams Foundation and the Bendheim Center/Scholarship Fund.
