Second Discussion Added To Gary Sinise Book Tour Event Due To Popular Demand

By popular demand, Steppenwolf Theatre Company will host a second conversation with co-founder Gary Sinise on Monday, February 18 at 9pm, following the sold out 7pm discussion. During the event Sinise and fellow co-founder Jeff Perry will discuss Sinise's new book Grateful American: A Journey from Self to Service in a candid conversation. A copy of the book is included in the ticket cost. The late-night event will take place in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N Halsted, on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 9pm. Single tickets ($45) are available through Audience Services at 312-335-1650 or steppenwolf.org. Steppenwolf Black Card Members may use credits towards this event.

Nina Dobrev and Tone Bell star in a new comedy about Clem (Dobrev), a woman whose vision of a perfect life with her adoring fiancé, Nick (Bell), and his wonderful family is radically altered when her 16-year-old, out-of-control half-sister, Shannon (Odessa Adlon), unexpectedly comes to live with them, on the series premiere of FAM, Thursday, Jan. 10 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Sheryl Lee Ralph and Brian Stokes Mitchell also star. Gary Cole guest stars as Clem's father, Freddy.

The Carney Awards announced a broadcast partnership with PIX11 in New York, the home of The Honeymooners for past 60 years. The Carney Awards, named for the late, great Oscar and six-time Emmy Award-winning actor Art Carney, star of The Honeymooners, recognize outstanding achievements in character acting and will honor Joe Morton, Jessica Walter, Joe Pantoliano, M. Emmet Walsh, James Cromwell and Bruce Greenwood. Comedian Patton Oswalt will host the evening's program which will be recorded at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, CA on Sunday, October 28, 2018. The 2-hour telecast will air on PIX11, Tribune Broadcasting's New York flagship television station, on Saturday, November 24, 2018 (8:00 PM – 10:00 PM). PIX11 will air a special marathon of The Honeymooners leading into The Carney Awards broadcast, starting at 6:00 PM.

It tells the inspiring and powerful Louis “Louie” Zamperini's post-World War II story and his struggle to find peace and forgiveness after his ruthless treatment as a Japanese prisoner of war. Steppenwolf Theatre Company Artistic Director Anna D. Shapiro announced today the addition of Rajiv Joseph and Karen Rodriguez to the world-renowned Steppenwolf ensemble. An Obie Award-wining and Pulitzer Prize finalist playwright, Rajiv Joseph's Guards at the Taj was produced at Steppenwolf this past May to great acclaim. Karen Rodriguez, a celebrated Chicago-based actor, recently performed at Steppenwolf in The Doppelganger (an international farce) and The Rembrandt, and will be featured in this season's world premiere of Isaac Gomez's La Ruta, in a role written specifically for her.

SONY Pictures Entertainment, ABC's The Good Doctor, Netflix's Atypical, and several filmmakers were honored for their contributions to autism awareness 'From Spectrum to Screen' by the Autism Society of America at the 2 nd Annual AutFest International Film Festival (April 28-29), held at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills. AutFest screened over 16 feature films, shorts and television programs that promote autism awareness and/or are made by autistic filmmakers.
