Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today its newest ensemble member: William Petersen. The Steppenwolf ensemble, the longest-existing theater ensemble in the United States, now totals 42 members.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company's Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning American play August: Osage County by ensemble member Tracy Letts directed by ensemble member Anna D. Shapiro, will begin an eight-week engagement this week at London's National Theatre (Lyttelton Theatre), playing November 21, 2008, January 21, 2009.

The Hayworth Theatre, in association with Roz Bernstein Productions, will present the world debut of 'Lovelace: A Rock Opera,' on October 18, 2008. The new show, recounting the life and times of legendary adult film superstar Linda Lovelace of 'Deep Throat' fame, is based on the Book, Music and Lyrics of Charlotte Caffey (founding member of 'The Go-Go's,) and Anna Waronker (singer/songwriter, founding member of 'That Dog.,') with the Original Concept and Lyrics from Jeffery Leonard Bowman.

The full cast has been announced for a new production of the Tony Award-winning musical Oliver! at the White Plains Performing Arts Center, Westchester's professional regional theatre located in White Plains, NY. The show will play November 20 - December 14, 2008 as the opening production of the theatre's Bank of America Broadway Classics series.

The national touring company of Avenue Q makes a fuzzy and fun pit-stop at the National Theatre in Washington DC through December 9 before heading to Baltimore.
