The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey celebrates the summer with two back-to-back classic comedies on the Main Stage. Molière's classic farce, The School for Wives, directed by Brian B. Crowe, kicks off the summer's mirth on July 8 and runs through July 26. The Tony Award nominated Noises Off, the hugely popular British farce by Michael Frayn and directed by Paul Mullins, begins performances on August 5 and continues through August 30.

Mint Theater Company will present a reading of the backstage farce, So Help Me God! by Maurine Dallas Watkins on Monday, June 8th at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street). The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey today announced a change to its previously announced 2009 Season. In announcing the change, Bonnie J. Monte, artistic director of The Shakespeare Theatre said, 'Recently, we announced an exhilarating and ambitious line-up of plays for 2009, and we are very excited about bringing these great works to life. However, in the last few weeks, like many non-profits, we've been informed of the loss of several grants from the corporate sector. We are committed to controlling costs and securing our future in these tough times, and therefore, we have made the decision to replace Shakespeare's Timon of Athens with Moli?re's The School for Wives.

As its second panel of the 2007/2008 theater season, the Drama Desk will present a special luncheon-panel discussion, entitled 'Broadway's Dysfunctional Families,' with focus on The Homecoming and August: Osage County, on Friday, March 7, 2008, at Sardi's (234 West 44th Street, in the 4th floor dining room). Drama Desk member Elysa Gardner, Theater Critic for USA Today, will serve as moderator.

The Homecoming continues its series of talkbacks with New York Post columnist Michael Riedel at The Cort Theatre (138 W. 48th St.), following the 7PM evening performance on Tuesday, February 12.
