West End Eurovision, now in its 5th year, sees 12 West End casts, including such shows as Legally Blonde, Phantom of the Opera, War Horse and Les Miserables, produce fully costumed, choreographed versions of a past Eurovision Song Contest entry. This iconic show was nominated in the top 5 'Theatrical Events of the year 2011' category in the recent BroadwayWorld.com Awards.

LES MIS, WICKED, SHREK & More to Feature in WEST END EUROVISION Tonight

West End Eurovision opens tonight, Thursday 26th April at The Dominion Theatre in London's West End, with no fewer than ten West End show casts performing fully costumed and choreographed versions of Eurovision Song Contest numbers. Audience members will be treated to unique, fully staged Eurovision entries performed by the London West End casts of: Billy Elliot, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia!, Phantom of the Opera, Rock of Ages, Shrek, Sweeney Todd, The 39 Steps, The Wizard of Oz and Wicked. In addition, there will be a one off extravaganza of a performance by international recording artist and television personality Javine Hylton as she reprises her 2005 UK entry 'Touch My Fire'. Entertainment industry charity 'The Make A Difference Trust' held an event at The Edge In London's Soho Square, sponsored by ‘I Am SOHO' and hosted by Heart FM's Toby Anstis, to launch their much anticipated show, ‘West End Eurovision 2012'. West End Eurovision, now in its 5th year, sees 12 West End casts, including such shows as Legally Blonde, Phantom of the Opera, War Horse and Les Miserables, produce fully costumed, choreographed versions of a past Eurovision Song Contest entry. With only a week to go, The Make A Difference Trust is proud to announce the spectacular line up for its 4th annual West End Eurovision event at the Piccadilly Theatre on Thursday 21st April.
The show, which is now almost completely sold out, will be hosted by Ms Gaby Roslin. We are further pleased to announce that our celebrity judges for the night will be Graham Norton, Sheridan Smith and Justin Lee Collins. In addition, Heart FM?s Toby Anstis will be providing VIP and Backstage interviews throughout the event. This year the Trust is excited to have The Original Bucks Fizz performing their 1981 Eurovision winner „Making Your Mind Up? as a part of their 30th anniversary celebrations. (more...)
