Freeform announced today that they will say farewell to fan-favorite series “Shadowhunters” with an extended two and a half-hour finale on MONDAY, MAY 6, at 8:00-10:30 p.m. EDT/PDT. The GLAAD, People's Choice and Teen Choice Award-winning series that followed the adventures of half-angel, half-human demon hunters and their downworld allies. Passionate fans rallied together to raise money for The Trevor Project in honor of the show's message of inclusion, compassion and acceptance. In celebration of “Shadowhunters” and the series fan base, Freeform also announced that they and their parent company, Disney, have matched the fan donations by giving The Trevor Project $25,000. The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.

Avoiding a sophomore slump, critically acclaimed series “grown-ish” has been picked up for a third season on Freeform. Acknowledging that student loans have crippled a generation of young Americans and are keeping them from achieving their dreams, the program aims to help student loan borrowers pay off debts that may be holding them back from living their best lives. Thus far, Scholly has helped students win over $100 million dollars in scholarships and aided many in reducing their debt.

Today, Freeform announced the start of production on season two of the critically acclaimed comedy series “grown-ish.” From “black-ish” executive producer Kenya Barris, “grown-ish” is a contemporary take on the current issues facing both students and administrators in the world of higher education.

Freeform announced today that production began Monday on their third original holiday film, “The Truth About Christmas,” from MarVista Entertainment. The movie will premiere during Freeform's “25 Days of Christmas” annual programming event. “The Truth About Christmas” joins previously announced holiday originals “Life Size 2,” starring Tyra Banks and Francia Raisa, and “No Sleep 'Til Christmas” with Dave and Odette Annable.

Tyra Banks has revealed details of the long-awaited sequel to the 2000 Disney flick Life Size in which she co-starred with a young Lindsay Lohan. The supermodel/actress took to Instagram to reveal the sequel will air on Freeform and that she will be starring opposite Francia Raisa (Black-ish, Grown-ish, Fired Up!). Banks 

Freeform doubled down on their promise to make the holiday season bigger than ever by announcing casting for two original holiday movies today. Actors Francia Raisa (“grown-ish”), Charles Michael Davis (“Younger”), Sheryl Lee Ralph (“Moesha”), Gavin Stenhouse (“Allegiance”), Shanica Knowles (“The Young &  the Restless”), Alphonso McAuley (“The Middle”), Hank Chen (“The New 30”) and Alison Fernandez (“Once Upon a Time”), as well as the previously announced Dave Annable (“Yellowstone”) and Odette Annable (“Supergirl”), have all been cast to star in holiday films airing during Freeform's “25 Days of Christmas” annual programming event. Both projects will start production this month.

According to Billboard, sisters Chloe x Halle have announced their debut album, THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT. In a statement to Billboard, the R&B singers said: 'Our debut album means so much to us! This is three years of self-discovery, vulnerability, and growth, all put into one album. We've put our hearts and souls into every lyric, every beat, and we cannot wait for the world to hear.' Freeform, Disney's young adult television and streaming network, will debut the premiere of grown- ish, on January 3, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. EST, in a special two-episode event. From the executive producer of ABC's Emmy-nominated black ish, comes grown-ish, a half-hour spinoff comedy tackling current social issues and complexities facing both students and administrators.

Freeform, Disney's young adult television and streaming network, released the #GrownishChallenge today, choreographed and arranged by Derek Watkins, better known as Fonzworth Bentley.
