Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that Lincoln Center Theater "wants the Beaumont for its next big production — a revival of THE KING AND I starring Kelli O’Hara." BroadwayWorld.com first reported back in 2011 that the theatre was considering a Bartlett Sher helmed revival of the classic show. Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College concludes its 2011-2012 Solo Sensations series with Roslyn Kind in concert on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 8pm. A dynamic, multi-talented entertainer and a native Brooklynite, she has forged a successful career in all facets of entertainment from critically acclaimed recordings to sold-out performances on Broadway and in top concert venues and nightclubs the world over. Continuing its six year reign as the most popular and award-winning supper club of its kind in the greater Los Angeles area, dedicated to presenting the best of Broadway performers and nightclub artists dedicated to the Great American Songbook, Sterling’s Upstairs had its Grand Opening Sunday, April 1st at The Federal Bar and Restaurant in North Hollywood’s trendy NoHo Arts District. Sterling’s presented Bruce Kimmel’s Kritzerland production of Take Me Along: The Songs of Bob Merrill as its premiere offering. The six member cast starred musical theatre stars Julie Garnyé and Juliana Hansen, Broadway’s Melody Hollis and Kristofer McNeely, and musical theatre star Jeffrey Christopher Todd, with Special Guest... Broadway, film, TV, concert and recording star Lainie Kazan. Christy Crowel served as the evening’s Musical Director, with Shelly Markham serving as Musical Director for Lainie Kazan. Bruce Kimmel conceived, produced and directed Take Me Along, with Adryan Russ on board as Associate Producer. (more...)

ABC has unveiled its summer schedule, featuring the return of Rookie Blue as the only scripted show. The second seasons of reality series Secret Millionaire and Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition and another installment of summer staples Wipeout and Bachelorette will also air during the summer months. ABCÂ’s new programming offerings this summer include the previously announced singing competition Duets, the improv comedy series Trust Us With Your Life and the mystery docu-series Final Witness. The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts and The Noël Coward Foundation will open the multimedia exhibition Star Quality: The World of Noël Coward on March 12. The exhibition is opening in conjunction to a city-wide festival celebrating the life and career of Noël Coward. Star Quality: The World of Noël Coward will be on display from March 12 to August 18, 2012 in the Donald and Mary Oenslager Gallery at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at 40 Lincoln Center Plaza.
