Billy Crystal to Bring Tony-Winning 700 SUNDAYS Back to Broadway's Imperial Theatre; November 5 - January 5

Billy Crystal will return to Broadway this fall for a 9-week-only limited engagement of his Tony Award-winning, record-breaking play 700 SUNDAYS. This will mark the final engagement of this production. Previews will begin Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) with opening night scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 2013 and a final performance set for Sunday, January 5, 2014. 700 SUNDAYSis performed and written by Mr. Crystal with additional content by Alan Zweibel and direction by Des McAnuff. Horse Trade Management Group will present the 7th Annual FRIGID New York Festival, an open and uncensored theatre festival that gives artists an opportunity to let their ingenuity thrive in a venue that values freedom of expression and artistic determination. In true support of theatre on the fringe of the mainstream, 100% of box office proceeds will go directly to the artists. Boasting over 150 performances and 30 shows over 12 days in 3 theaters, FRIGID New York will kick off the annual North American Fringe Circuit with a bang! (more...)

Jason Robert Brown's HONEYMOON IN VEGAS Headed to Broadway in 2013; Tony Danza to Star

Honeymoon in Vegas, a new musical, will open on Broadway in the spring of 2013 following a premiere engagement this November in Toronto. Based on the Castle Rock Entertainment Motion Picture of the same title, Honeymoon in Vegas features music and lyrics by Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown and a book by Andrew Bergman (director and screenwriter of the film). In the inaugural week of its Washington D.C. run, the first stop of a six-city tour, Billy Crystal?s Tony Award-winning Broadway hit 700 Sundays shattered the box office record to become the highest-grossing play ever at Washington D.C.?s National Theatre. For the week ending September 13, 2009, the production grossed $939,578 in only 7 performances, breaking the National Theatre record of $713,258 previously held by Dame Edna: Back with a Vengeance! in February, 2003. Mr. Crystal?s 700 Sundays stills holds the record for highest-grossing non-musical production in Broadway history, taking in $1,061,688 for the week ending May 22, 2005 at Broadway?s Broadhurst Theatre. It was announced today that Billy Crystal will bring 700 SUNDAYS, his Tony Award-winning Broadway blockbuster, to six cities for limited engagements this fall, launching at Washington, D.C.'s National Theatre September 8 - 17. Billy Crystal will bring 700 SUNDAYS, his Tony® Award-winning Broadway blockbuster, to Miami as part of a six city American tour of limited engagements. 700 SUNDAYS, a play performed and written by Mr. Crystal with additional content by Alan Zweibel is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff. 700 Sundays comes to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County for 6 performances only beginning Tuesday, December 8 through Sunday, December 13, 2009 presented by the Adrienne Arsht Center and Broadway Across America - Miami. General tickets range from $45.00 - $85.00 and Premium tickets are $200.00 not including applicable service charges. Broadway Across America Season Ticket Holders and Arsht Center Members will receive the first opportunity to purchase tickets in the near future.
