Broadway came out last night for the Sixth Annual Paul Rudd All-Star Bowling Benefit to support SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young. Drury Lane Theatre continues its 2017-2018 season with 42nd Street, with music by Harry Warren, lyrics by Al Dubin, book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, and original Broadway direction and dances by Gower Champion. 42nd Street is based on the novel by Bradford Ropes and was originally produced on Broadway by David Merrick. This production is directed by Michael Heitzman with choreography by Jared Grimes. 42nd Street runs now through January 7, 2018 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. Everett Bradley aka Papadelic, the Miracle on 134th Street, will be returning this December with Holidelic, the 15-year, ever-evolving celebration of diversity and "dysfunktion."   

HyPR Media is pleased to announce the 25th Anniversary of the iconic New York Songwriters Circle, curated and hosted by highly sought-after vocal coach and multi-platinum singer-songwriter, Tina Shafer. Deemed as "one of the best showcases in New York for discovering talent" by Billboard Magazine, the NYSC is famous for its long history of discovering and cultivating young talent. Household names such as Vanessa Carlton, Norah Jones, Lana Del Rey, and Gavin DeGraw, Ian Axel (Great Big World) all got their start on the NY Songwriters Circle, which has been held monthly at the legendary NYC music venue, The Bitter End. The NYSC will hold its special 25th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, November 17, 2016, with two showcases that evening:  one at 7:30 and the other at 10:00 PM. The event will include a live performance by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, John Oates, Grammy Award winner and Broadway star of Kinky Boots, Billy Porter, among performances by other esteemed singer-songwriters.

The Radio City Rockettes star in the new summer show at the Radio City Music Hall, 'New York Spectacular,' but don't expect the traditional razor precision ensemble work that you may be accustomed to seeing. This new show has the personalized stamp of popular So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Mia Michaels, who is also credited as the director. Fans of Michaels' signature contemporary dance style will find a lot to like in this production: from the Rockettes gesticulating and grooving to her edgy vibe, to the wildly talented male ensemble that turn, jump, and twitch out to her stylized dance vocabulary.

SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young will host its 14th Annual Benefit Gala, on Monday, May 2, 2016, to celebrate the courage and achievements of more than 70 million people who stutter, including 5% of all children. SAY Founder Taro Alexander said 'Our Annual Benefit Gala reminds us all that every voice matters. Not some. Not most. But every voice.'
