There's nothing like a rock musical led by a genderqueer German named Hedwig. Absolutely nothing.

Tony and Olivier Award-nominated Euan Morton will take over the role of Hedwig, and Hannah Corneau will play Yitzhak in the National Tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, starting tonight, November 29th at the Civic Theatre in San Diego. 

The National Tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch is coming to Seattle's Paramount Theatre from December 13 - 18, featuring Tony and Olivier Award-nominated Euan Morton in the role of Hedwig, and Hannah Corneau as Yitzhak.

In a theatrical touchdown for the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, stage and screen star Darren Criss has agreed to reprise the notable title role he stepped into last year on Broadway: as Hedwig in the just-launched national tour of the rousing 2014 Tony Award-winning reboot of the glam rock musical HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, which began last month in San Francisco and continues its Los Angeles-area performances through November 27 (Euan Morton assumes the role for the rest of the tour starting November 29 in San Diego). Featuring solid direction from Michael Mayer and dynamic new musical staging from choreographer Spencer Liff, the searingly electric, engagingly hilarious show, at its core, celebrates the triumph of living life as authentic and as tenaciously as possible, no matter the constant obstacles. It's certainly a wonderful message to remind everyone in such uneasy times of late.

The much-anticipated musical version of KING KONG has lost a member of its creative team, according to the New York Times. Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winner Marsha Norman is no longer attached to the project.

Broadway In Chicago has announced Tony and Olivier Award-nominated Euan Morton will play the role of Hedwig, and Hannah Corneau will play Yitzhak in the National Tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival. Hedwig and the Angry Inch will play Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph) March 7-19, 2017.

Local dignitaries, elected officials and Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) supporters gathered by the river and participated in a groundbreaking ceremony hosted by Tony Award-winning Broadway producers who now manage the Playhouse -- Alexander Fraser, Producing Director ('Kinky Boots', 'The Normal Heart') and Robyn Goodman, Executive Producer ('Avenue Q', 'In the Heights'). It was Cupcakes Galore yesterday, August 16, 2016, when the best of Bucks County bakeries competed in a Cupcake-Off, the first ever cupcake competition at Bucks County Playhouse. Broadway, TV and film star Justin Guarini, taking on the role of his character in Cake Off, the new musical at the Bucks County Playhouse opening this weekend, hosted the competition, while the rest of the cast and the Alex Fraser, Producing Director of BCP, judged. Happy Birthday, Euan Morton! Morton was nominated for an Olivier Award and a Tony Award, and won a Theatre World Award win for Outstanding Broadway Debut as Boy George in the musical 'Taboo.' He also appeared on Broadway in 'Cyrano de Bergerac' and 'Sondheim on Sondheim' and is currently appearing in New York in Radio City Music Hall's 'New York Spectacular.' He has Off-Broadway and regional credits and received a Helen Hayes Award for his portrayal of Leo Frank in 'Parade' at the Ford's Theatre.

Broadway, television and film star Justin Guarini returns to Bucks County Playhouse when he joins Tony nominee Euan Morton, Barrymore winner Michele Ragusa and newcomer Aidan J. Lawrence at Bucks County Playhouse for 'Cake Off,' a new musical by Sheri Wilner, Julia Jordan and Adam Gwon. 'Cake Off', directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, will preview on August 19, with opening night August 20 and run through September 10, 2016.

New York Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, presented by Chase, began performances on June 15 at Radio City Music Hall. The limited eight-week engagement continues through August 7, 2016. The Rockettes celebrated tonight's first performance of THE NEW YORK SPECTACULAR this afternoon with a lighting ceremony at the Empire State Building. The production, which honors New York City in the summertime and stars the legendary Rockettes, will run for eight weeks only from June 15 through August 7, 2016. Check out photos below!
