Vocalist LENY ANDRADE returns to Birdland. Andrade, a queen of 'bossa nova' in Rio de Janeiro has been fascinating audiences in the New York area as well in the past several years since Producers Pat Philips and Ettore Stratta started bringing her to Birdland.

September 5th marks the 26th Year of BRAZILIAN DAY in New York City where hundreds of thousands gather to enjoy the music, art, food and excitement of Brazilian Culture. West 46th Street and the surrounding area is is alive and full of the sounds Brazilian music and the smell of food, a great time to be had by all.

Presented by Delta Airlines, songstress Leny Andrade will take Birdland audiences on a journey with her sounds of Bossa Nova from her native Brazil to her love of Boleros (stemming from some years living in Mexico), all with a Jazz flavor. Shows are every night between August 31 and September 4th at Birdland (315 W. 44th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues) at 8:30pm and 11:00pm.
