ROCK OF AGES will soon become Hollywood's Biggest Party as filming recently began in Miami, Florida for the New Line Cinema Film. Directed by Adam Shankman, the film stars Tom Cruise as "Stacee Jaxx," Diego Boneta as "Drew," Julianne Hough as "Sherrie," Russell Brand as "Lonny," Alec Baldwin as "Dennis," Mary J. Blige as "Justice," Brian Cranston as the Mayor, Malin Ackerman as "Constance Sack," Catherine Zeta-Jones as the wife of the Mayor and Paul Giamatti as "Paul Gill." (more...)

Maroulis to Depart ROCK OF AGES in July; Working on Album

'American Idol' alum and Tony nominee Constantine Maroulis will soon say goodbye to the national tour of Rock of ages, according to a recent interview with JSOnline. Maraoulis, who originated leading man 'Drew' on Broadway, commented: "I've set out and accomplished everything I've wanted to do." Maroulis departs from the show in July after being involved with the show for three years. (more...)

Constantine Maroulis, who originated the role of Drew in ROCK OF AGES on Broadway, recently introduced his first child, Malena James to the world via People Magazine. On how he and mom ANgel Reed chose the now three month old's name, he commented: ". "I always loved the name. I'm not fond of a lot of Greek female names. MiG Takes on 'Jaxx' with Maroulis in ROCK OF AGES Tour; Calveri, Shannon et al. Join

As BroadwayWorld has reported, Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis will perform for the last time as "Drew" on Broadway Thursday, September 9 before headlining the First National Tour of ROCK OF AGES, debuting in Chicago on September 21. Joey Taranto will take over the role of "Drew" at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street). Additional cast changes include Mitchell Jarvis playing his final performance as "Lonny" on Sunday, September 5 and taking over the role of "Stacee Jaxx" from James Carpinello, who will play his final performance on a date to be determined. Jay Klaitz, recently of Lend Me a Tenor, to begin performances as "Lonny" on Monday, September 6. BroadwayWorld has learned that joining Maroulis on tour are Joey Calveri, Erika Shannon, Angela Brydon, Casey Tuma and Burn the Floor's MiG Ayesa, who will be assuming the role of Stacee Jaxx.
