Chief theater critic and arts columnist for Newsday, Linda Winer, is scheduled to facilitate the final in a series of moderated talk-backs between audience members and Tina Packer and Nigel Gore following the 7pm performance of WOMEN OF WILLon Tuesday, May 14th. WOMEN OF WILL is scheduled to conclude its limited Off-Broadway run following its performance on Sunday, May 26 at The Gym at Judson (243 Thompson Street). (more...)

Tina Packer's Women of Will, the epic exploration of Shakespeare's canon and life as seen through the eyes of his female characters, will play its final performance Off-Broadway at The Gym at Judson (243 Thompson Street) on May 26th, 2013 - one week earlier than originally scheduled, it has been announced by the show's producer Sarah Hancock and creator/star Tina Packer. Bedlam's SAINT JOAN Revival to Return Off-Broadway at Access Theater, 3/6

Access Theater will present a 4-week encore engagement of Bedlam's critically acclaimed Off-Broadway revival of George Bernard Shaw's rarely produced 1923 masterpiece SAINT JOAN. In this bold, environmental staging directed by Eric Tucker, Shaw's play is performed in its entirety using an ensemble of only four actors to play all 24 roles. Performances begin March 6 at Access Theater where it will play in repertory with a new production of HAMLET as performed by the same four actors. (more...)

Now beginning Tuesday, March 19 Ms. Packer and Mr. Gore will welcome a few notable names to the 'Tuesday Talk-backs with Tina and Nigel' in the form of a moderator - currently announcing five moderators, with additional names and dates to be announced at another time. Tina Packer, creator and star of the critically acclaimed Women of Will at The Gym at Judson (243 Thompson Street @ Washington Square South), will appear on 'The Charlie Rose Show' tonight (Thursday, March 14), seen locally in the New York City area on WNET Channel 13 at 11:00pm. Ms. Packer was originally scheduled to appear as a guest on the talk show on Wednesday, March 13 but was preempted by coverage of the newly appointed Pope. (more...)

The New York premiere of Women of Will, Shakespeare & Company Founding Artistic Director Tina Packer's groundbreaking exploration of Shakespeare's canon arrives Off-Broadway at The Gym at Judson later this month for an ambitious five month run. Women of Will begins preview performances on January 29 with the official press opening slated for February 3 at 7:00pm and running through June 2. Eric Tucker (Pinter's Mirror at S&Co.), who directed Packer in the world premiere of Women of Will at Shakespeare & Company in 2010, returns to direct. Nigel Gore (Hamlet, Antony and Cleopatra), a longtime Company member and collaborator on Women of Will, stars alongside Packer in the Off-Broadway debut. (more...)
