The Colorado Theatre Guild's 11th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 18, 2016 at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue in Parker, Colorado. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party. Tickets are $23 for CTG members (limit 2 per person online with the code Henry2016), $30 non-members or $50 VIP. Tickets go on sale June 20 through the PACE Center website, parkerarts.org, or by calling the box office at 303-805-6800. 

In the performing arts world, new talent is always sought. With thousands and thousands of young student performers, it's sort of hard for many kids to seize an opportunity for themselves. And when one small audition finally crosses a kid's path, it's even more difficult to compete with the loads of others just like them, hoping for a start to their dream career. Luckily for Parkway Middle School of the Arts, an opportunity came riding their way, and boy, did they take it.

So now it's all here again on the big stage at Actors' Playhouse. There's a cast of 27 directed by David Arisco, the king of big musicals, who doesn't let a flat moment slip into the two hour performance.

Theatre Aspen announced the lineup for its 33rd season today. The Hurst Theatre opens with the regional premiere of the megahit musical MAMMA MIA!, running in repertory with the one man comedy Buyer and Cellar and the musical Dear Edwina. The organization also announced the return of the Aspen Theatre Festival for new work at the end of August.

?West Side Story, one of the greatest love stories of all time, returns to Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre almost 20 years since the company won South Florida regional theatre's Carbonell Award for "Best Production of a Musical". The show will run January 27 through February 21, 2016.

Can you hear the people sing? The Carbonell Awards judges did, honoring LES MISERABLES at Maltz Jupiter Theatre with 10 Carbonell nominations, the most of any musical production. Daniel's Husband at Island City Stage, a world premiere about the importance of marriage equality, garnered six nominations, the most of any play.

The Little Sisters of Hoboken are taking an all-expense paid cruise to the Holy Land, but once again find themselves plunged into comedy, song and dance.

One show into their sixth season, and heading towards their final production at West Boca High, Slow Burn Theatre Company will present Edges, a musical, for a special two-night run tonight and tomorrow, December 18th and 19th, 2014 as a joint fundraiser with the West Boca Drama Department. Tickets are $20.
