Created by Manju Shandler and Basmat Hazan, adapted by Valerie Work, Manju Shandler, and Basmat Hazan A WONDERFULLY FLAT THING, directed by David Winitsky* will play a selected weekends in December 2010 and January 2011. A WONDERFULLY FLAT THING is one of the first productions to be mounted in The 14th Street Y's newly renovated LABA Theatre. Set in the anxious landscape of September 11th and inspired by the haunting idea of learning something you wish you never knew, BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES is a mystery about the personal truths revealed by a global tragedy. When Kate's husband returns home covered in dust and ash, she thinks the worst is behind them, but she ends up learning more about him than she ever imagined. Can they go back to the way it was...before? Or is the truth too impossible to ignore? (more...)
