Blackfriars Theatre Opens [title of show], 9/14
by BWW News Desk - Sep 14, 2012

Blackfriars Theatre, a professional, not-for-profit theatre located on Rochester, NY's "Theatre Row" keeps the beginning of the Rochester theatre season rolling with the premiere of "[title of show]," a musical, with music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen, and book by Hunter Bell. With nothing to lose, the pair decides to try and create something entirely new with the help of two of their best friends, Heidi and Susan. They make a pact to write up until the festival's deadline and dream about the show changing their lives. A tuneful love letter to the uniquely American art form. (more...)

BWW Reviews: GAUNTLET from Wing-It Productions
by BWW News Desk - May 17, 2012

As technology is fast approaching the time when we'll all have our own flying cars and robot servants (even though I thought we were supposed to be there by now) new and interesting tech also avails itself to theatrical productions. Sometimes it goes a little overboard and interferes with telling the story, but fortunately this is not the case with Wing-It's latest production, "Gauntlet". With their new interactive video game comedy, they have incorporated some new and exciting tech with their already brilliant improv skills to create one of the coolest shows I've seen. (more...)
