Prospect Theater Company will hold a talkback with director Elizabeth Lucas and cast members from the critically-acclaimed production of Adam Guettel’s Myths and Hymns following the Thursday, February 23 performance. Among the cast members in attendance will be Bob Stillman, Anika Larsen and Matthew Farcher. In addition, a 5pm performance has been added on Saturday, February 25. The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the winners of the NYMF 2011 Awards for Excellence. Awards will be presented at the Eight Season Awards Gala taking place on Sunday, November 6th at The Hudson Theatre (145 W. 44th Street) beginning at 6:00pm. As previously announced, producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan will also be honored for their work in bringing musical theatre to a worldwide, pop-culture audience. (more...)

Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) is pleased to announce the following subscription opportunities for their upcoming 2011-12 Season, which includes a new production of the original musical comedy, Iron Curtain (book by Susan DiLallo, music by Stephen Weiner and lyrics by Peter Mills); a re-envisioned staging of Adam Guettel's song cycle Myths and Hymns, with new narrative and direction by Elizabeth Lucas; and a re-conceived version of Cole Porter's 1933 musical Nymph Errant, with new libretto by Rob Urbinati and direction by Davis McCallum.
