Colt Coeur's Play Hotel reading series will present an industry reading of Laura Jacqmin's Dental Society Midwinter Meeting on Monday, May 20th at 3pm at TheaterLab, 357 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor in Manhattan. The Play Company's Idea Lab, in collaboration with Goethe-Institut New York and the German Consulate New York, is proud to present a public event featuring internationally acclaimed German playwright Roland Schimmelpfennig, in conjunction with our New York premiere production of his play THE GOLDEN DRAGON. Mr. Schimmelpfennig will discuss his award-winning play THE GOLDEN DRAGON, his larger body of work, and trends in German theatre on Sunday, May 12 @4:15pm -- immediately following the 3pm matinee performance of THE GOLDEN GRAGON at The New Ohio Theatre, 154 Christopher Street. Julia Jones, Erica Rotstein and Aaron Schildkrout will host Colt Coeur's Spring Benefitreunion reading of their inaugural world-premiere production. Under the direction of Adrienne Campbell-Holt (Recall, Colt Coeur) original cast members Teddy Bergman (Peter and the Starcatcher, Broadway), Erin Felgar (Billy Witch, Studio 42), Kate Cullen Roberts (Breakfast at Tiffany's, Broadway), Matt Stadelmann (American Sligo, Rattlestick), and Joe Tippett (Fish Eye, Colt Coeur) will be joined by two-time TONY nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger (Peter and the Starcatcher, Broadway) in the play that critics called "wildly charming," "pitch-perfect" and "Pinter meets My So-Called Life" when it premiered in 2010. THE GOLDEN DRAGON is directed by Ed Sylvanus Iskandar (THESE SEVEN SICKNESSES, RESTORATION COMEDY), renowned for whimsical invite-only theater company, Exit, Pursued by a Bear. THE GOLDEN DRAGON will be performed at The New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street in the West Village) from tonight, May 8th through Sunday, June 9th, 2013. Celia Keenan-Bolger (PETER AND THE STARCATCHER) and Julia Jones (TWILIGHT films) will join Adrienne Campbell-Holt (RECALL, FISH EYE), Matt Stadelmann (SEVEN MINUTES IN HEAVEN) and other Colt Coeur company members in a performance of new plays by Brooklyn students ages 10 to 16, in the 'Celebration of Play-Making Workshop'. The event is the culmination of Colt Coeur's week-long theatre intensive offered free-of-charge to public school students. The evening will take place at St. Ann's Warehouse at 29 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn and will begin with a reception at 6:30pm, followed by a 7pm performance. Casting has been announced for the world-premiere of Kara Manning's play SLEEPING ROUGH, directed by Tony Award nominee Sam Buntrock and presented Off-Broadway at the Wild Project (195 East 3rd Street) by Page 73 Productions, currently celebrating its 15th season presenting works by up-and-coming playwrights in New York.
