Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce a successful opening night for the World Premiere of FELLOW TRAVELERS, a new play by Jack Canfora, directed by Michael Wilson. The show opened on Saturday, June 2 and was met with rave reviews and a positive audience response. FELLOW TRAVELERS, open now through June 17, 2018, is the first show in Bay Street Theater's 2018 Mainstage Season. The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) will present PrideFest 2018 from June 27-30 in both the 56-seat and 99-seat spaces at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues). The festival will feature new shows by Jessie Field, Kev Berry, Matthew Mirliani, Marjorie Conn, Julien Zotique, Julie Moore & Ania Upstill, and Rodrigo Nogueira. Producer Julian Schlossberg announces that Academy Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning writer and actress Renee Taylor - known to millions for her role as Fran Fine's food-obsessed mother, Sylvia, on 'The Nanny' - will return to the New York stage this summer in MY LIFE ON A DIET, an autobiographical comedy written by Ms. Taylor and her late husband Joseph Bologna. Originally directed by Mr. Bologna, MY LIFE ON A DIET will have its New York premiere Off-Broadway at Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46 Street, between Ninth & Tenth Aves) beginning Thursday, July 12, 2018.

The third production is the musical EVITA, (July 31 - August 26) by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.

Ms. Bradbury, after Elia Kazan discovered her at the Actor's Studio, made her debut on Broadway in play, J.B. performing alongside Raymond Massey and Christopher Plummer. But it was her creation of the role of Dainty June in the original Broadway production of Gypsy with the legendary Ethel Merman that put her in the public eye. She also originated the role of Charlotte Goodall in the Broadway premiere of Tennessee Williams' The Night of the Iguana.

The centennial of renowned American composer Leonard Bernstein is celebrated throughout the National Philharmonic's 2018-2019 concert series at The Music Center at Strathmore. Performing compositions that influenced Bernstein, as well as some of his very own famous works, the National Philharmonic will be the only symphony orchestra dedicating most of its 2018-2019 season to the works surrounding the legendary composer. 

Leonard Bernstein made one foray into Hollywood with an original film score: the 1954 romantic tragedy On the Waterfront, which is ranked by the American Film Institute as one of the ten best films of all time.  On Saturday, February 24 at 8pm, On the Waterfront will exuberantly come to life when the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) presents Richard Kaufman conducting Bernstein's electrifying score live, while the newly re-mastered film is shown in glorious high definition on the big screen with original dialogue intact.

Producers Ryan Murphy and David Stone have announced that Charlie Carver ('The Leftovers,' 'Teen Wolf') will complete the cast of the 50th Anniversary production of Mart Crowley's groundbreaking play, The Boys in the Band. Carver will play the role of Cowboy.
