On Friday 5th August 2016 The Regent Theatre and New Vic Theatre will be working together to create a special day for young people on a recuperative holiday from Chernobyl.

As if time stood still; four of the original dreamboats are back! Over 50 years since the original British rock n rollers hit the airwaves, Marty Wilde, Eden Kane, Mike Berry and Mark Wynter return for headline billing for THE SOLID GOLD ROCK N ROLL SHOW at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre on Thursday 24 November. 

This limited season of Daniel Evans' five star Sheffield Crucible production of SHOW BOAT today commences its final four weeks, playing its last West End performance at the New London Theatre on Saturday on 27 August 2016.  

The annual London theatre initiative KIDS WEEK began today and announced it would be extending until 7 September 2016 to mark the end of school summer holidays. With over 55,000 tickets available, you can book free tickets for London's biggest shows including, The Railway Children, Jersey Boys and Wicked.

Full casting is announced today for Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's acclaimed production of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice which, after sell-out performances in 2013, returns this year to conclude the 2016 Summer Season ahead of a major UK Tour in September. Opening at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley, the tour will then visit Norwich, Cambridge, Salford, Leicester, Woking, Truro, Birmingham and Richmond, with further dates in 2017. There will be a press night at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley on Thursday 22 September at 7.30pm.

On October 16th MISS SAIGON: THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY PERFORMANCE brings an all-new spectacular film production of the legendary musical to cinemas around the UK.

Proposals have been submitted to the London Legacy Development Corporation to move The Yard Theatre into a new building.

This autumn, Artistic Director Douglas Rintoul launches his first season at the Queen's Theatre Hornchurch with the first ever revival of the hit musical Made in Dagenham. Bringing the West End hit back to its roots just a stone's throw from The Ford Factory Dagenham in which it is set, the co-production with New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich presents a company of twenty-one actor musicians which is bolstered further by six members of the Queen's Youth Theatre. This is the largest ever cast to appear on the theatre's stage and is led by Daniella Bowen as the busy mum, loving wife and hard-working Ford factory employee, Rita O'Grady.

So join in the fun, and catch West End star and leading lady Sue Kelvin's roller-coaster ride through the Divine Bette Midler's fabulous career. The show explores how Bette inspired Sue to don seven-inch platform shoes, and become a musical diva herself! Following rave reviews, Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,  announce today that a further 250,000 tickets will be released for sale next week on Thursday 4 August 2016 at 11am BST, booking through to 10 December 2017.  Tickets are priced from £15 per part and for every performance there will be 300 tickets at £20 or less per part.

Paul Nicholls, Jack Ellis and Ben Onwukwe will star in the 2016 UK Tour of The Shawshank Redemption. Following a hugely successful 2015 tour, Bill Kenwright's production, inspired by the classic film and based on the short novel by Stephen King, begins performances 31st August at Theatre Royal Windsor.

The Cockpit Theatre's very Own Sister Mary Kicks Off Camden With A Special Edition Of Her BIG SHOW. On Monday 1st August at 7pm Sister Mary will be joined by companies and performers from across the festival programme in a special edition of her BIG SHOW.

Today Arts Council England announced an award of £75,000 over 3 years to the Orange Tree Theatre as part of the Catalyst: Evolve fund. This investment will enable the OT to revolutionise its fundraising with the aim to increase its fundraised income by 159% by the end of June 2019.

Declan Donnellan will be awarded the Golden Lion of Venice. The board of La Biennale di Venezia will give the co-artistic director of Cheek by Jowl the award for lifetime achievement. The ceremony takes place on 29 July at this year's Biennale festival.

Shakespeare's Globe is delighted to announce casting for 946: THE AMAZING STORY OF ADOLPHUS TIPS, co-adapted by Michael Morpurgo and Globe Artistic Director Emma Rice. After a critically acclaimed 2015 run at Kneehigh's Asylum, Emma Rice's family show will be brought to London for the first time, before embarking on a major international tour of the UK and US. It tells the story of the rehearsed D-Day landings in Devon's Slapton Sands, and stars Katy Owen as the heroine Lily, Mike Shepherd as her grandfather, Adam Sopp as the evacuee Barry, and Nandi Bhebhe and Ncuti Gatwa as American soldiers Harry and Adi.

BAZ Productions' 2016 re-working of dreamplay tells the story of a young woman who arrives on earth from 'above' to discover the mysteries of humanity. Director Sarah Bedi and cast have created a new and unpredictable version of August Strindberg's 1901 play that reimagines the story for a modern audience. This all-consuming production plays on universal human doubts and anxieties, adding a heightened degree of awareness to the audience experience.
