Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI) announced the celebration of its 70th anniversary. Officially recognized on May 29th, the date former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg declared “Music Theatre International Day” in 2012, MTI is celebrating this milestone throughout the next year by showcasing the incredible talents of theatrical organizations around the world.
Licensing Rights Now Available for ROCKY Through MTI

Rocky features music and lyrics by Tony® winners and Academy Award® nominees Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, and a book by multiple-Tony winner Thomas Meehan and Sylvester Stallone, adapted from the acclaimed Oscar®-nominated screenplay by Stallone. The show had its world premiere in Hamburg in 2012 and opened on Broadway in 2014. The musical follows the plot of the Academy Award-winning Best Picture classic, Rocky.
Licensing Rights Now Available for KINKY BOOTS

Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI) announced the licensing availability of Kinky Boots – the big-hearted show that won six Tonys including Best Musical, the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre album and London’s Olivier Award for Best Musical. Kinky Boots features a joyous, Tony-winning score by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, and a hilarious, uplifting book by four-time Tony winner, Harvey Fierstein. Billy Porter won a Best Actor Tony Award for his portrayal of Lola.
MTI Acquires Rights for DEAR EVAN HANSEN

MTI Acquires Global Licensing Rights for GODSPELL

Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI) announced that the three versions of Godspell represented by the company -- the original off-Broadway 1971 version, the revised 2012 version and Godspell JR. (the 60-minute Broadway Juniorâ version) -- are now available for licensing by theatres across the world. Previously, MTI only represented the rights to Godspell in the United States and with this announcement, licensing for the three versions of the show will now begin for performances taking place on or after January 1, 2022.
