Andrew Lloyd Webber's STEPHEN WARD Set to Open at Aldwych Theatre in November 2013

According to the New York Post, Andrew Lloyd Webber recently announced that his new STEPHEN WARD musical, based on the Profumo Affair, will begin previews at the Aldwych Theatre this October with opening night set for November 2103. The musical features lyrics by Don Black, a book by Christopher Hampton and direction by Richard Eyre- all of whom where at Lloyd Webber's estate to preview excerpts from the show at his annual Sydmonton Festival. Musical Theatre West to Present Andrew Lloyd Webber's SUNSET BOULEVARD, 7/12

Sunset Boulevard, the Musical Theatre West (MTW) production of the Broadway hit based on the 1950 Oscar-winning movie about a former star of the silent screen era living in the past in her decaying mansion on the fabled Los Angeles street, has its much anticipated Southern California 20th Anniversary revival July 12 through July 28, 2013 at the exquisite 1,070-seat Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, CA. MTW Executive Director/Producer Paul Garman has appointed Larry Raben as Director with Musical Direction by David Lamoureux and Musical Staging by John Todd. MTW's Sunset Boulevard opens exactly 20 years to the day of the show's world premiere in London at the Adelphi Theatre where it ran for 1529 performances. (more...)

According to the Daily Mail, Andrew Lloyd Webber's new musical STEPHEN WARD is eyeing the Aldwych Theatre as its West End home, with hopes to begin rehearsals in October in time for November previews. Its said that Lloyd Webber is also considering two other theaters in case Top Hat, which is currently running at the Aldwych, doesn't close in time for STEPHEN WARD. (more...)

Milos to Perform STEPHEN WARD Theme on Classic FM Tomorrow

According to the show's official Twitter account, Milos will again perform the theme from Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest musical Stephen Ward tomorrow, April 25, at the Royal Albert Hall for Classic FM. Milos previously premiered the song as a part of the ITV special 'Andrew Lloyd Webber: 40 Musical Years,' which aired on March 31. (more...)

Aspects of Love, the musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Don Black and Charles Hart that enjoyed a three-year run in London's West End from 1989 to 1992, will receive a long overdue Chicago mounting when Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre opens its production on March 11, 2013. It will be the musical's first staging in the area since a touring company played the old Civic Theatre in spring 1992. (more...)
