Minnetonka Theatre's 9 TO 5 Opens 7/19

Tickets are now on sale for Minnetonka Theatre's summer production of 9 to 5 - The Musical, presented on the Arts Center on 7 Main Stage July 19- August 3. Based on the hit 20th Century Fox Picture, the story follows three female coworkers as they join forces in the late '70s to get even with their "sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot" boss after he pushes them past their limits. Stephen Schwartz to Appear at National Symphony's THE WIZARD AND I, Now thru 5/18

The National Symphony Orchestra Pops will present three performances of The Wizard and I: The Musical Journey of Stephen Schwartz May 16-18 in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. Led by Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke, the performances feature performances by Jeremy Jordan, Norm Lewis, Julia Murney, Jennifer Laura Thompson, and The Washington Chorus. The performances celebrate Stephen Schwartz's 65th birthday as well as the 10th anniversary of the perennially 'popular' Wicked, and Mr. Schwartz will make a special appearance in each of the three programs, performing and sharing stories of the creation of Wicked. The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's 2013 Season is the year Broadway and Hollywood meet with all of the productions at the theatre being hits both on the silver screen and Great White Way. The season kicked off with the funny and heartwarming Steel Magnolias, followed by Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 - The Musical. Paper Mill Playhouse hosted its largest fundraising event of the year, The 75th Anniversary Gala, on May 10th, 2013. The 75th Anniversary Gala celebrated Paper Mill's legacy as a world-class producer of theater and its role as a pioneer in arts education for three-quarters of a century. The evening offered dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions and entertainment by students from Paper Mill Playhouse's arts education programs, The Eddie Bruce Band, and headliner Jeremy Jordan, star of Broadway's Newsies and NBC's Smash. The Annie Moses Band Comes to The Ware Center, 5/24

The Ware Center kicked-off its second year last September with a concert by country great, grammy-winner John Berry. Now over 300 performances later, it is fitting then, that the Ware & Winter Centers of Millersville University should end their 2012-13 Season with another stellar musical group - one that offers a unique style of pop, jazz, Celtic and classical music with a contemporary influence -- The Annie Moses Band. The band, who recently debuted at the Grand Old Opry to a standing ovation, is composed of six siblings - all Juilliard-trained musicians -- with their parents spearheading the lyrics and arrangements. The Annie Moses Band will perform on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 7:30 PM at The Ware Center, 42 North Prince Street, Lancaster, PA. (more...)
