Last night, December 14, The ASCAP Foundation honored jazz legend Dee Dee Bridgewater with The ASCAP Foundation Champion Award, and acclaimed Broadway composers/lyricists/librettists David Hein and Irene Sankoff with the Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award. Executive Director, Connor Deane announced today that the third annual BROADWAY SINGS gala would be held on Monday, November 27 at the historic Westport Country Playhouse. Broadway Method Academy is a non-profit musical theater-training program where young artists are linked with working Broadway professionals, both in the classroom and on-stage. The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame announced today that international music figure Carlos Vives will be inducted into this year's Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame at the 5th annual LA MUSA AWARDS . In addition LSHOF will honor the singer/songwriter with the organization's Icon Award.
