The Fabulous Fox Theatre and the producers of the Broadway smash hit musical AIN'T TOO PROUD – THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS have announced  full casting for the First National Tour coming to St. Louis at the Fabulous Fox Theatre September 20 – October 2.

After hugely successful runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018 (winning a Fringe First), the Bunker Theatre and the Roundhouse, Emma Dennis-Edwards’ critically-acclaimed one woman show will tour the UK in a new production starring Sarel Madziya. The tour will visit York St John, the North Wall Oxford, Liverpool Everyman, Phoenix Exeter and Nottingham Playhouse. Funeral Flowers will also visit several prisons alongside an outreach programme exploring creative responses to the show from inmates.

But even if AIN’T TOO PROUD commits a few sins on its way to Motown glory, it is at least absolved to some extent by the sheer quality of that songbook. And, in the current touring production at Dr. Phillips Center, it gets some extra absolution from its incredibly talented cast...

Ain’t Too Proud To Beg (ATPTB), The Life and Times Of The Temptations, based on the book by Dominique Morisseau, is a compelling, “tell-all” biographical musical about the triumphs and trials of Motown’s number one male group.

The National Tour of Ain't Too Proud officially kicked off at the Kennedy Center, after cancelling 15 performances due to COVID-19. Performances began on December 28 and continued through January 16.

Tickets will be available on a Pay What You Can system, starting at just £6. A minimum of 25% of every ticket bought for SHEDINBURGH 2021 will go into the SHED LOAD OF FUTURE FUND a fund to support the next generation of artists get to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Roundhouse today announces a Spring 2020 Season of stereotype-smashing performing arts. Featuring Emma Frankland's Hearty, Miguel Hernando Torres Umba's Stardust, Rachael Young's Nightclubbing and Out, and Emma Dennis-Edwards' Funeral Flowers, the season runs from 27 February to 9 May.

Exploring trauma, relationships, and our human instincts to find the courage to survive, the heartfelt Funeral Flowers comes to The Bunker this April. Emma Dennis-Edwards (New Futures, Pentabus Theatre Company; After Orlando, The Finborough) won the Filipa Braganca Award for an outstanding solo theatre performance by an actress for her Fringe First award-winning run of this incredibly powerful production at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018.
