LA Opera launches a bold ambassadorship program to forge deep, authentic and longstanding relationships with diverse communities and the key thought-leaders influencing them.

Los Angeles Jazz Society's annual Jazz Tribute Concert and Awards are a celebration of jazz and its talented musicians who have made this extraordinary music their life's passion. This year's edition, hosted by KJAZZ's Rhonda Hamilton, will feature over 90 minutes of musical tributes, honoring the likes of Rickey Minor, Ledisi, and Bill Holman at the Montalban Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday, October 29, 2022, beginning at 7:30pm.

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts has announced its 2022 Fall and holiday season of special event shows!  “Don’t Dream It, Be It…” as you join Barry Bostwick, the film’s “Brad Majors,” for a 47th Anniversary screening of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, plus more.

Director Sidney Lumet followed a string of Oscar®-winning 1970s classics with this lavish adaptation of the popular Broadway musical The Wiz, noted for its lively score and all-Black cast.  The Academy Museum’s first anniversary screening of The Wiz will feature live dance performances by the Debbie Allen Dance Studio youth performers.

Playhouse Theatre Academy will welcome back Stephanie Pope Lofgren for two exciting Fosse master classes. Stephanie is currently directing Playhouse on Park’s production of LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR AND GRILL, which tells the story of Billie Holiday’s final performance.

The Cort Theatre was officially renamed the James Earl Jones Theatre in honor of the iconic multi-award-winning American actor! Audible Inc. has announced a new slate of original comedy podcasts with longtime collaborators, Broadway Video Enterprises. In addition to new originals, Audible greenlit the second season of the hit Audible Original, Hot White Heist.

The performance will take place at Roy Thomson Hall and marks the live debut of 'Paper Airplanes,' which multi-platinum artist Ruth B. and two-time Academy Award nominee / 5-time Grammy winner Terence Blanchard wrote and recorded specifically for A JAZZMAN'S BLUES. The track was produced by Oscar and Grammy winning producer, D'Mile and Ruth B.

December 2022 offerings at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts will include the continuation of the world premiere of Invincible – The Musical, featuring the music of Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, which reimagines the timeless story of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet for the 21st century, and more!

Flutist, composer, and producer Allison Loggins-Hull has announced her 2022-2023 season featuring eight world premieres, a U.S. premiere, a New York premiere, and her first season of three with The Cleveland Orchestra as their eleventh Daniel R. Lewis Composer Fellow.

Written, directed and produced by Academy Award honoree Tyler Perry, the film stars Joshua Boone and Solea Pfeiffer as star-crossed lovers Bayou and Leanne alongside an ensemble cast that includes Amirah Vann, Austin Scott, Milauna Jemai Jackson, Brent Antonello, Brad Benedict, Kario Marcel, Lana Young and Ryan Eggold. The B Street Theatre presents Charade, the classic romantic whodunit that starred Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, adapted for the stage in this whirlwind production spanning the globe. The production will run through September 18, 2022.

The 2022-2023 Kirk Douglas Theatre Season has been announced. The season will begin with the L.A. Writers’ Workshop Festival, which is set to take place over the course of two weekends, September 9-11 and September 16-18, 2022.

Season one guests included Debbie Allen, Sofia Carson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jenna Dewan, Sheila E., Melissa Etheridge, Mickey Guyton, Betsey Johnson, Billie Jean King, Tig Notaro, Raven-Symoné and Josie Totah in never-before-heard discussions on life, growth, and their experiences. In season 2, Robin Roberts chats with a new group of Hollywood women.

Like many theatre fans, I'd been reading the raves she's been getting as Beanie Feldstein's standby, and since I doubted press would be offered comps during her run, I sprung for a ticket to see for myself.

November 2022 offerings at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts will include the return of  the Broadway @ The Wallis concert series, hosted and music-directed by SiriusXM Radio star Seth Rudetsky, featuring internationally acclaimed Tony, Obie, and Emmy Award-winner Lillias White, and much more.
