Capital Stage will launch its 11th Season: BRAVE NEW WORLD with Anne Washburn's MR. BURNS, A POST ELECTRIC PLAY. The show will run from September 2 through October 4 with a Press Opening on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 8pm.

Northern Illinois University (NIU) proudly presents The Northern Stars of Dance Concert at the Ruth Page Center for the Performing Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn St., this weekend, April 10 - 12. Showcasing the talent of alumni, students and faculty from the NIU School of Theatre and Dance, the performance will center on Spent Days Out Yonder, a piece choreographed by internationally renowned choreographer Bill T. At the New London Theatre, the proud home of Michael Morpurgo's much celebrated War Horse, the National Theatre's acclaimed stage production recently extended bookings for the West End production to 13 February 2016. In its eighth year, and having now been seen by over 6 million worldwide, a new cast of 26 actors and 12 puppeteers joined the company this month led by the show's equine star Joey.

California Stage Theater Company's ITALIAN OPERA Opens Tonight

California Stage Theater Company will launch the West Coast premiere of local playwright Leslie Lewinter-Suskind's zany send-up Italian Opera. Opening tonight, February 20th, the production will feature Actors' Equity performer and Sacramento News & Review's 2014 Best Local Actor Michael RJ Campbell.

At the New London Theatre, the proud home of Michael Morpurgo's much celebrated War Horse, the National Theatre's acclaimed stage production today (2 February) releases over 150,000 new tickets for sale taking bookings for the West End production to 13 February 2016. In its eighth year, and having now been seen by over 6 million worldwide, a new cast of 26 actors and 12 puppeteers join the company on 16 March 2015 led by the show's equine star Joey. War Horse recently completed sell-out dates in South Africa visiting Johannesburg and Cape Town and has now returned to the UK where it will complete a record-breaking national tour in Bristol next month.

Denver's Wonderbound is gaining national attention this October as Artistic Director Garrett Ammon's "Serenade for Strings" premieres with San Francisco's Smuin Ballet. In addition, the work will be a part of Wonderbound's season opening production of "Enduring Grace" with musicians of the Colorado Symphony. "Enduring Grace" also features a world premiere work by Company Artist Sarah Tallman.

New York City's early-music scene has fostered a number of fine period-instrument ensembles in the recent past. But for a full-size orchestra of period-instrument specialists who have played together for decades under the direction of a committed and charismatic conductor, New Yorkers need to look west - and may well do so with envy. On Thursday evening the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, led by Nicholas McGegan, gave a performance of Handel's "Teseo" at the Herbst Theater here that confirmed its leading position in the field.

BWW Reviews: WAR HORSE is Spectacular

On the heels of Memorial Day, Broadway Across America - Houston is presenting the First US National Tour of the acclaimed play WAR HORSE. The visually spectacular production first premiered on London's Off-West End in the Olivier Theatre at the National Theatre. It transferred to the West End's New London Theatre, where it is still running. It enjoyed Broadway success at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at New York City's Lincoln Center. It has since been produced in Canada, Australia, and Germany. After seeing this tour, it is no surprise that everywhere the play goes, it leaves tear-soaked audiences speechless and amazed.

To a crowd of more than 2,500 people, Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) declared the winners of TUTS' twelfth annual Tommy Tune Awards on the evening of Wednesday, April 16, at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Adding extra excitement to the evening, the award ceremony's namesake and nine-time Tony Award winnerTommy Tune made a special appearance to kick off the show and to present the night's top honor.
