Venice Theatre Announces 2013-2014 Season

Early Monday evening, the Venice Theatre announced their 2013 to 2014 theatre season at a special Kickoff gathering at their theatre located at 140 West Tampa Avenue in Venice, Florida. They're searching for buried treasure at Bristol Riverside Theatre as the Omaha Theatre Company comes to town for How I Became A Pirate, running January 12-13, 2013. Based on the best-selling children's book written by Melinda Long and illustrated by David Shannon, How I Became A Pirate has been adapted for the stage by award-winning composers/lyricists/playwrights Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman. Arvada Center Children's Theater Presents HOW I BECAME A PIRATE, Opening 10/18

On Oct 18, the Arvada Center opens the children's theater production How I Became a Pirate, book, music and lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, directed by David and Julie Payne. The stage production is based on the book, How I Became a Pirate written by Melinda Long and illustrations by David Shannon. The show will run Oct 18 - Dec 28, 2012. Performances are 10 a.m. and noon, most Tuesdays through Fridays, select Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. For specific show dates please check our website. How I Became a Pirate is recommended for ages four and up. Ticket prices range from $8 weekdays and $10 weekends and holidays for reserved seating. On January 26, The Arvada Center opens the children's theater production How I Became a Pirate, book, music and lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, directed by David and Julie Payne. The stage production is based on the book, How I Became a Pirate written by Melinda Long and Illustrations by David Shannon. The show will run January 26 - March 9 in the Center's Main Stage Theater before moving to the intimate Black Box Theater March 21 - April 14, 2012. Performances are 10am and noon, Tuesday through Friday, Saturdays at 11am - February 18, 25 and March 2 and 11am and 1pm, April 7 and 14. (more...)
