Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) presents Caleb Chapman's Crescent Super Band, twenty-five extraordinarily talented young musicians from Utah, in their Carnegie Hall debut. An exhilarating phenomenon of youthful energy and inspired musicality, the Crescent Super Band has stunned audiences worldwide, from New York to the Netherlands, performing hip, intelligent arrangements of the American standards for thousands. On Tuesday, May 21 at 8:00pm at Carnegie Hall, the Crescent Super Band will perform a program from the Great American Songbook repertoire featuring music from legendary performances at Carnegie Hall. The boisterous night on one of the world's greatest stages will feature special guests, saxophonist David Sanborn, trumpet player Wayne Bergeron, the high energy jump swing of The Voodoo Orchestra and hot Latin jazz ensemble La Onda Caribeña, in a program featuring new music from John Clayton, Greg Yasinitsky, Russell Schmidt, Sam Cardon, and Greg Hansen. The Collegiate Chorale announces the New York Premieres of two works by major composers: Symphony No. 7 'Toltec' by Philip Glass and Oceana by Osvaldo Golijov, featuring international jazz vocalist Biella Da Costa and the American Symphony Orchestra tonight, February 27, 2013 at 7pm at Carnegie Hall, 881 7th Avenue, NYC. The 4th Annual Uptown Charlotte Jazz Fest returns to the Queen City with the sounds and rhythms of some of the world's greatest jazz performers June 21-22, 2013, at the Time Warner Cable Uptown Ampitheatre (TWCUA). Following up a nearly sold-out 3rd year with record attendance, the festival has truly become a "destination event" for true jazz enthusiasts, attracting attendees all along the Southeast including Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Gato Barbieri has had to cancel tonight's and tomorrow's performances at the Blue Note. In his place will be the Michel Camilo Trio featuring Cliff Almond (drums) and Lincoln Goines (bass). The performances will take place today & Tuesday, December 3 & 4, 8 pm & 10:30 pm at The Blue Note located at 131 West 3rd Street, New York, NY 10012. Tickets are priced at $45 table seats, $30 at the bar. (more...)

Singer/songwriter ANDY GRAMMER premiered his new music video for "Miss Me" onVH1's "Top 20" weekly video countdown this past weekend. The video has been added to the regular rotation on the music channel and can be seen now here:http://on.vh1.com/Q1L1io. It follows ANDY's prior Top 20 charting videos "Fine By Me,"which climbed to the #4 spot, and his nearly platinum debut hit "Keep Your Head Up" which peaked at # 2.
