Three Day Hangover presents TWELFTH NIGHT, or Sir Toby Belch's Lonely Hearts Club Cabaret, their next immersive, boozy Shakespeare event performed in a bar. The first full production of their 2014 Season, TWELFTH NIGHT, written by William Shakespeare and adapted by Beth Gardiner, will be staged at McGee's Restaurant and Pub, 240 West 55th Street (bet. Due to popular demand, The Drunk Shakespeare Society has added two special late night performances of DRUNK SHAKESPEARE on Friday, April 11 & Saturday, April 12 at 10PM. For these special performances, the 'Drunk Actor' from the 8PM performance will drink again at 10PM, adding an extra layer of drunken debauchery to the late night show. DRUNK SHAKESPEARE, an irreverent and outrageous new theatrical experience is directed by David Hudson, conceived by Scott Griffin & Three Day Hangover (David Hudson, Lori Wolter Hudson and Beth Gardiner) and produced by Scott Griffin.

After bursting onto the New York theater scene in 2013 with back-to-back, critically-acclaimed productions, Three Day Hangover has planned a stellar 2014 season, announced today by co-artistic directors David Hudson, Beth Gardiner and Lori Wolter Hudson. The company will continue bringing innovative, joyful productions of classic plays to bars. This spring, they will produce Twelfth Night infused with a New York flair and a live band karaoke. Come summer, they'll shake things up by adding Chekhov to the mix in a vodka-soaked adaptation of Uncle Vanya. They'll finish the year with a Super-Secret Smash-Up of two Shakespeare plays combined into one, unique event. The company will kick off its season with a Big Boozy Benefit to be held on March 30, 2014 at 7pm at Rockwood Music Hall, 196 Allen Street (between East Houston and Stanton) in NYC.

Cork Film Centre Faces Savage Funding Cut

The Arts Council have announced a crippling funding cut (50%) for Cork Film Centre in 2014, with a total withdrawal of funding in 2015. The Arts Council is the primary funder of the Cork Film Centre, which also receives some support from Cork City Council and Cork County Council, as well as generating limited income through workshops and occasional special projects.

First Look, Museum of the Moving Image's annual showcase for inventive new international cinema, returns for its third year with a program of 16 films from 10 countries, to be presented on weekends from January 10 through 19, 2014. First Look opens on Friday, January 10, with the U.S. premiere of Alexandre Rockwell's Little Feet, a charming and bittersweet tale of two young siblings on their own, starring Rockwell's own children Nico and Lana; all three will appear in person with the screening. Closing Night on Sunday, January 19, will be the U.S. premiere of Antonin Peretjatko's The Rendez Vous of Deja Vu (La fille du 14 Juillet), a colorful and freewheeling romantic burlesque, with shades of French New Wave and Monty Python, set amidst a beach vacation in France; Peretjatko will appear in person. Featured countries for other First Look films are Canada, Chile, Egypt, Greece, Ireland, Peru, Spain, and the United Kingdom. All of the films have played to acclaim at international film festivals, and all are New York premieres and many are U.S. premieres. Many of the filmmakers will be present for post-screening discussions.

After a sold out, two-week run and rave reviews, Three Day Hangover is extending R+J: Star-Cross'd Death Match, their Romeo & Juliet Shakespeare drinking theatrical extravaganza performed in a bar with audience participation. Justice Theater Project Opens Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR Tonight
