HOBART BAROQUE To Commence In April, Tickets On Sale 1 December

HOBART BAROQUE is a brand new event celebrating the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. April 12 sees the inauguration of HOBART BAROQUE, nine days of exceptional performances by international and local musicians. To date, there has been no festival dedicated specifically to baroque music. That honour falls to Tasmania's capital, Hobart. (more...)

Beck Center for the Arts will present the regional premiere of The Velocity of Autumn by Cleveland's most prolific playwright Eric Coble, March 23 through April 29, 2012 in the Studio Theater. There are no performances the weekend of April 6 through 8. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are now on sale. (more...)

Green Room Awards Winners Announced: MARY POPPINS, YANA ALANA Lead

The Green Room Awards took place at The Famous Spiegeltent in Melbourne last night, and global favorite MARY POPPINS led the night with a total of nine awards out of its twelve nominations. Yana Alana and the Paranas in Concert, a cabaret production, was a close second for total awards with six out of eight cabaret awards. (more...)

The play, adapted from Giovanni Boccaccio's The Decameron by GLTF Director of Education Daniel Hahn, features a touring company of four actors and is directed by Lisa Ortenzi. (more...)
