Ashley Park, Paolo Montalban and More Set for 'PRINCE JEN' Reading in NYC

Special invitational presentations of THE REMARKABLE JOURNEY OF PRINCE JEN, a new musical based on the novel by Lloyd Alexander, are set for November 14th and 15th at MTC Studio 1 (311 West 41 Street). Music for THE REMARKABLE JOURNEY OF PRINCE JEN is by Daniel Green, with book & lyrics by Lezlie Wade. The presentations will be directed by Brian Hill.

The YALE INSTITUTE FOR MUSIC THEATRE announces the creative teams and casting for the two original book musicals, Blessing, music and lyrics by Andrew R. Butler and book by Andrew Farmer, and The White City, music by Avi Amon and book and lyrics by Julia Gytri, which will be developed in an intensive two-week summer lab at Yale School of Drama, June 13-25.

There's a bone disease called 'pycnodysostosis', but it's more commonly known as Toulouse-Lautrec Syndrome. It means that the density of one's bones is irregular, and usually results in an abnormal growth of digits or appendages. In the case of the actual Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, it meant that his legs were shorter than normal, and his general stature was fragile.

Tony Award winner Debra Monk turned her 65th birthday into an all-star party with her closest friends on Monday, February 24, 2014, delivering a non-stop evening of rock, pop and laughter produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The concert, billed as 'Totally Hot and a Little Dirty,' raised $140,355.

The Producer Circle. Co will present a concert reading of Kenneth Jones and Gerald Stocksill's NAUGHTY/NICE in benefit of the The New York Center For Children at Caroline's on Broadway on Dec. 3. The reading features musical direction by David Gardos and direction and staging by Stephen Nachamie. Alexandra Frohlinger, Timatha Kasten, Eric Michael Krop, and George Salazar will star, along with Emily Bindiger, Dennis Deal, Carolee Goodgold, and Jim Vincent.
