Eugene O'Neill's classic play of family strife has had regular revivals in London (most recently in 2018 and 2012). Set in 1912 and published posthumously in 1956, it remains one of the great American plays. Brian Cox returns to the London stage as James Tyrone, actor, family colossus, and flawed man, in a mesmerising performance.

Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar nominated writer-director of Minari, Twisters stars Golden Globe nominee Daisy Edgar-Jones (Where the Crawdads Sing, Normal People) and Glen Powell (Anyone But You, Top Gun: Maverick) as opposing forces who come together to try to predict, and possibly tame, the immense power of tornadoes. Laurie Kynaston has joined Long Day's Journey Into Night in the role of Edmund Tyrone, replacing Anthony Boyle who has had to withdraw due to personal reasons. Learn more about the production!

SHOWTIME unveiled the official trailer and key art for THE WOMAN IN THE WALL, the six-episode thriller starring and executive produced by BAFTA and Golden Globe Award winner Ruth Wilson (THE AFFAIR, His Dark Materials) and co-starring BAFTA Award nominee Daryl McCormack (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, Peaky Blinders). 

Olivier Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Anthony Boyle (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) will join the cast of Long Day's Journey into Night, playing the role of Edmund Tyrone. He will be replacing Alex Lawther who has reluctantly withdrawn from the production due to a scheduling conflict.

The new West End production of Eugene O'Neill's autobiographical magnum opus Long Day's Journey into Night led by Emmy-winner Brian Cox has added Golden Globe and Emmy-winner Patricia Clarkson (Sharp Objects) and more to its cast.

The 'Bad Sisters” ensemble cast is led by Sharon Horgan, Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene and Eve Hewson as the Garvey sisters. Claes Bang, Brian Gleeson, Daryl McCormack, Assaad Bouab and newcomer Saise Quinn round out the ensemble cast. The series series is from BAFTA Award-winning executive producer and star Sharon Horgan.

SHOWTIME and The BBC announced the new six-episode gothic thriller THE WOMAN IN THE WALL, led by BAFTA® Award winner Ruth Wilson (THE AFFAIR, Luther) and co-starring Daryl McCormick (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, Peaky Blinders). Apple TV+ today announced the premiere dates for “Five Days at Memorial,” a new limited series from Academy Award winner John Ridley and Emmy Award winner Carlton Cuse; and, “Bad Sisters,” the witty and emotional darkly comedic murder mystery from Emmy Award-nominee and BAFTA Award-winning star and creator Sharon Horgan.

This December, the Abbey Theatre will present Abbey Calling - a new initiative, bringing brilliant pieces of literature directly into the homes of those feeling isolated. A partnership with mental health charity, Aware, Abbey Calling sees 50 of Ireland's leading actors make up to 2,000 phone calls.

Winner of the Verity Bargate Playwriting Award 2017, Dylan Coburn Gray's Citysong makes its world premiere on the Abbey Stage from 25 May – 8 June ahead of going Out of the Abbey to London's Soho Theatre, co-producers of Citysong, from 12 June – 6 July.
