STARZ's 1950s Period Drama MAGIC CITY to Return this June

Starz announced today that their 1950's Miami-based drama, 'Magic City' will return with an all new season on Friday, June 14th at 9pm ET/PT, one week following the finale of the Starz Original series 'Da Vinci's Demons' on Friday, June 7th. Rap Icon Rick Ross Joins STARZ's MAGIC CITY

'Magic City' has added another famous face to its all-star lineup. Season two of the critically acclaimed series will feature legendary rapper Rick Ross as 'Butterball,' the proprietor of an illegal Cuban/American gambling house in Miami known as a 'bolita,' (the numbers racket). There are numerous bolitas in the Miami area and not surprisingly, Ben 'the Butcher' Diamond (Golden Globe(R) nominee for Best Supporting Actor, Danny Huston) is getting a cut from the illicit operations. AFM 2012 Announces Premieres Lineup

The 2012 American Film Market (AFM), set for October 31-November 7 in Santa Monica will screen more than 420 motion pictures, including 77 world premieres and 306 market premieres, for thousands of film buyers and industry professionals from more than 70 countries. Jonathan Wolf, AFM Managing Director and Executive Vice President of the Independent Film & Television Alliance, made the announcement today.
