Full Cast Announced for the National Theatre's NYE, Starring Michael Sheen

The National Theatre and Wales Millenium Centre have announced the full cast for Nye as the company begins rehearsals. Tim Price's (Teh Internet is Serious Business) new play directed by Rufus Norris (Small Island), charts the life of Aneurin 'Nye' Bevan and his battle to create the NHS. Michael Sheen is cast as Nye in this co-production between the National Theatre and Wales Millennium Centre.

London’s newest performing arts venue, Marylebone Theatre, has launched with a world premiere directed by Tim Supple.  Marylebone Theatre, near Baker Street, intends to carve out a special place on the London cultural scene as a beautiful and grand but intimate setting offering cross-arts programming with theatre, music, dance and spoken word.

James Macdonald returns to the Almeida to direct the world premiere of Christopher Hampton's new version of Ödön von Horváth's Judgment Day. Judgment Day will run at the Almeida from 3 September - 17 October 2009, with press night on 10 September. Set designs are by Miriam Buether with costume design is by Moritz Junge, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Chris Shutt and music by Matthew Herbert.
