COMPANY To Be Presented By Sullivan Rep

Company, the beloved Stephen Sondheim musical with a book by George Furth, will be presented for a Limited Engagement Run by Sullivan Rep as the next show of their second season.

Late in the second act of “A Little Night Music,” the Stephen Sondheim musical about love – and the amorous, sometimes adulterous, always complicated entanglements that accompany it – the opening lines of the plaintive ballad “Send in the Clowns” ask, “Isn’t it bliss? Don’t you approve?” When it comes to the enchanting Sullivan Rep production of the show, now at Newton City Hall through June 8, the answer to both is a resounding yes.

Weston Friendly Society to Present THE SOUND OF MUSIC in December

'The Sound of Music' with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and book by Howard Linsday & Russel Crouse will be performed at The Weston Friendly Society of the Performing Arts this December. Coming off of a successful run of their production of Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' back in May, WFS will open their 137th Season with this classic.

With direction from Hollis Welch Sullivan who began her tenure with the company in 1976, choreography by EMACT/Dash Award Winner and current Artistic Director Daniel Forest Sullivan, and Music Direction from local favorite Steve Bergman, this Tony award winning 'Tale as old as Time' is sure to warm the hearts of all audience members, young and old.
