BUYER & CELLAR, Starring Michael Urie, to Transfer to Barrow Street Theatre, 6/18-24

Producers Darren Bagert, Dan Shaheen, and Ted Snowdon have announced that the hit comedy Buyer & Cellar, starring Michael Urie ('Ugly Betty'), written by Jonathan Tolins, and directed by Stephen Brackett, will transfer to the Barrow Street Theatre for a ten-week engagement beginning Tuesday, June 18, at 7:30pm and opening Monday, June 24. Primary Stages continues their 28th season with the 20th anniversary revival of All in the Timing by David Ives. Directed by Tony Award-winner John Rando (Urinetown; A Christmas Story, The Musical),the production features Eric Clem (Blue Man Group), Carson Elrod (Peter and the Starcatcher), Jenn Harris (Silence! Tom Jones, lyricist, book writer and director of The Fantasticks, rang the closing bell at The New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, August 19. He was joined by cast members Nick Spangler and Margaret Anne Florence, who play Matt and Luisa in the revival. Said producer Catherine Russell, 'As one of the great New York City theater traditions, The Fantasticks' appearance at the stock exchange is quite fitting and exciting. We are happy to ring the closing bell in the city The Fantasticks has called home for 48 years.' The Fantasticks is a captivating and simple romantic comedy about a boy and girl who fall in love at the hands of their meddling fathers. The score, which includes 'Try To Remember,' 'They Were You' and 'Soon It's Gonna Rain,' is as timeless as the story itself. The Snapple Theater Center is located at 210 West 50th Street.
