Billy Porter to Direct CAMP Film for HBO Max

Tony Award-winner Billy Porter has been announced to direct Camp, a film adaption of Lev Rosen's young adult novel for HBO Max. Slave Play director Robert O'Hara is set to rewrite the screenplay by Kit Williamson.

SPAMALOT Film Adaptation Acquired by Paramount Pictures

The previously announced upcoming Spamalot movie has been acquired by Paramount Pictures. The film adaptation of the Broadway musical was previously set to be released by Fox, but has now moved.

Hamish Linklater to Star in TV Land Pilot I SHUDDER

TV Land has greenlit 'I Shudder,' a dark comedy pilot starring Hamish Linklater ('The New Adventures of Old Christine,' 'The Newsroom') and written by Paul Rudnick ('In & Out,' 'Addams Family Values'), about a meticulous but generous man who sees the world in very black and white terms: what is acceptable, and what is unacceptable. Dan Jinks ('American Beauty,' 'Pushing Daisies') and Rudnick will executive produce.

Disney, Jujamcyn, Nederlander and Shubert Organizations Support I AM HARVEY MILK

Producers Bruce Cohen, Robb Nanus, Jessica Leventhal, Bruce Robert Harris and Jack W. Stevenson High School), representing the Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards, was awarded the coveted Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Broadway's Minskoff Theater. The Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress was presented to Jai'Len Josey, representing the Georgia High School Musical Theater Awards -- Shuler Hensley Awards.

Ryan McCartan, 2011 Jimmy Award winner, will host the 2-hour talent showcase that features dynamic ensemble and solo performances. McCartan recently starred as JD in the Off-Broadway hit musical, Heathers, appears regularly as Diggy in Liv & Maddie on the Disney Channel, and is a recurring character on the USA Network's Royal Pains. The event will be held at the Minskoff Theatre (200 W. 45th St) and begins at 7:30 pm.

PGA & Cadillac Announce Mentors for 'Make Your Mark' Film Competition

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) and Cadillac are pleased to announce the mentors for the Make Your Markcompetition– a short film competition open to producers across the country. Participating producers will compete for the opportunity of a lifetime – a portion of the winning short film and the winning producer's name will be featured in Cadillac's :30 spot that will air on ABC during the Oscars, on Sunday, February 22. The competition honors the work of renowned Academy Award® winning filmmaker Saul Zaentz (“The English Patient,” “Amadeus,” “One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest”), who passed away earlier this year. Zaentz's passion continues to inspire the next generation of industry-defining producers through the Make Your Mark competition.
