Gerry Beckley to Release Solo Album

Gerry Beckley, the gifted singer, songwriter, performer and co-founder of legendary band, America, is set to release a new solo album, Five Mile Road, on September 20, 2019 via Blue Elan Records.  First single, “Life Lessons” debuts today.

Broadway stars Liz McCartney and Bob Stillman will headline Judson Theatre Company's  Souvenir: A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins by Stephen Temperley. Souvenir is the first production of  Judson Theatre Company's eighth season, opening Thursday, May 9, 2019 and running through Sunday, May 12 at the Hannah Center Theatre.

The Colorado Music Hall of Fame presented by Comfort Dental will host its next induction event Monday, December 3, 2018 at the historic Paramount Theatre. The induction of 97.3 KBCO and legendary concert promoter and artist manager Chuck Morris will be accompanied by a cavalcade of musical appearances from Amos Lee, Todd Park Mohr (Big Head Todd) & The Monsters, Isaac Slade and friends from the Fray, Bill Nershi and members of The String Cheese Incident, Vince Herman and Drew Emmitt from Leftover Salmon, Jeff Hanna and some members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Leo Kottke along with backing band Chris Daniels & The Kings, plus more surprises to be announced.

The highly-anticipated album, A Tribute to Dan Fogelberg, is now available on CD, digital and streaming platforms. Released worldwide through BMG, sales will benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF), a cause near and dear to Dan's wife, Jean Fogelberg. In 2008, a year after Dan Fogelberg passed away from prostate cancer, Jean released Sometimes A Song , a Valentine's Day gift to her from Dan, and donated proceeds to PCF. Each year since then she has designed the annual PCF Holiday Cards to help raise money and awareness.

Today, we shine our spotlight on Vanderbilt University junior Michael Maerlender, a native of New London, New Hampshire, who is back in Nashville to pursue his dreams of a life in the theater while working as a production/writing intern with K-Squared Productions and Tennessee Performing Arts Center's world premiere run of Part of the Plan, a new musical that features a score from the catalogue of American singer/songwriter Dan Fogelberg, which opened at TPAC's Andrew Johnson Theatre on Sunday night, following two preview performances that started last Friday.
