This season, Kevin Hart gathers with a new batch of celebrity guests to dive into hour-long conversations about their life journeys, careers and never-before-heard memories. Leeds based Northern Ballet always pack a punch when they visit London every May, and this time was no different, with Massimo Moricone’s slick and captivating Romeo and Juliet. This year’s touring production held extra poignancy, with the costumes and set requiring full restoration and repair from a devastating warehouse flood in 2015.

Yesterday, PBS honored America’s national night of remembrance with their annual Memorial Day Concert. The 35th-anniversary event was broadcast from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. English National Ballet’s Emerging Dancer award returned to Sadler’s Wells after a two year absence, with a unique opportunity for the most junior members of the company to shine. With his feet now firmly under the desk, Artistic Director Aaron S. Watkin hosted the evening, the first of his tenure, with six Artists of the company performing a classical and contemporary pas de deux in three assigned pairs. 

Marin is regarded as a major force in French modern dance, and one can understand why when appreciating the work's overall accomplished structuring…but that doesn't mean it will be an unequivocally enjoyable experience for all.

I love it whenever they take real strong women from history and infuse them into these musicals because it keeps their spirit alive and it lets us know what an amazing part these women played in the history of these great events.

Northern Ballet’s iconic revival of Romeo & Juliet comes to Sadler’s Wells this month! The production will open on Tuesday 28 May and run until Saturday 1 June.

NBC will be airing a brand-new behind-the-scenes special, centered on the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked. Headlined by stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, the special will air on November 25, two days before Part One premieres in theaters. In celebration of the generation-defining, cinematic event of the year, international superstars Erivo and Grande will lead an all-star cast in a journey through a dazzling new vision of Oz, created for Universal Pictures’ Wicked.

In a new interview with Variety, Wicked director Jon M. Chu discussed his first meeting with Cynthia Erivo and their time together on the set of the highly anticipated movie. He highlighted the magic of Erivo's performance in the film, specifically citing the powerful anthem Defying Gravity.
