National New Play Network (NNPN), the country's alliance of professional theaters that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, has added three new Core Members: Silk Road Rising (Chicago), Company One (Boston), and City Theatre Company (Pittsburgh). As of the date of this release, NNPN has 114 Members Theaters, comprised of 32 Cores and 82 Associates.

SYFY Films Releases HOVER In Theaters June 29 & VOD/Digital HD July 3

SYFY Films today announces the release of the upcoming film HOVER, in theaters on June 29, 2018 and on VOD and Digital HD on July 3, 2018. Directed by Matt Osterman (400 DAYS, “Ghost from the Machine”), the science fiction film marks the feature screenwriting debut of Cleopatra Coleman (“The Last Man on Earth,” “White Famous”). The cast includes Coleman, Shane Coffey (“Pretty Little Liars,” “Sugar Mountain”), Craig muMs Grant (“Oz,” “Birdman”), Beth Grant (“The Mindy Project,” “No Country for Old Men”), Fabianne Therese (“Teenage Cocktail,” “Southbound”) and Rhoda Griffis (“Walk the Line,” “The Blind Side”).

Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment Commissioner Julie Menin today announced the launch of “New York in 25,” a year-long public awareness campaign promoting NYC Life, the City's official television channel, which appears as channel 25 on most cable providers, and channel 25.1 over the air. The print, digital, and broadcast campaign features prominent New Yorkers describing the reasons why they love New York City – in exactly 25 words.

Written and performed by Craig 'muMs' Grant, A Sucker Emcee will be a special six show limited engagement as part of NBT's 48th season themed In Pursuit of Black Joy. For this remount, NBT has brought together the original production team of Director Jenny Koons, DJ/composer Rich Medina, Set Designer David Meyer, Light Designer Bradley King, and Sound Designer Jessica Paz.

This year the event will benefit this important group - New Yorkers Against Gun Violence.
