The Black Box has announced its next main stage show, an under-produced masterwork: Edward Albee's The Play About The Baby. The show opens on November 10 at The Black Box, 49 East Palisade Avenue in Englewood, NJ with tickets on sale now.

On Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 7:30PM, Medeski Martin & Wood's Billy Martin -- a long-time Bergen County resident -- will perform another solo set utilizing percussion instruments, found objects, voice, flutes, bird calls, and more at The Black Box Performing Arts Center, 49 East Palisade Ave between Grand Ave and Dean Street. 

On Monday, September 12, singer/actress Karen Akers returned to Birdland with “Water Under The Bridge,” which was musical directed by Alex Rybeck, with Tom Hubbard on bass. Check out photos here!

The Black Box, NJ's prime incubator for new and under-produced works by world-class artists, will kick off the 2022-23 Season with acclaimed playwright/filmmaker Neil LaBute's adaptation of Georg Buchner’s Woyzeck, 'in rep' with Cherry Hill by Matt Okin this October.

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater are open this September with a full slate of nightly performances!

BIRDLAND THEATER will present the return of Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf – the acclaimed cellist celebrating her recent album Music of Broadway for Cello and Piano – on Monday, September 19 at 8:30 PM.

Returning to Birdland after the sold-out debut of this show in April, Akers once again takes a look back at some of the songs that first brought her attention in cabaret as well as on Broadway, television, and recordings: works by Craig Carnelia, Maury Yeston, Edith Piaf, and Stephen Sondheim, among other treasures.
