Cornelia Street Cafe presents the Mat Maneri Trio featuring Mat Maneri, viola, Ed Schuller, bass and Randy Peterson, drums. This concert will be the 20 year anniversary of this contrapuntal trio who will be playing a collection of music from their past 3 recordings as well as new material. The trio have worked together over the years to try and push the boundaries of what a jazz trio can be, incorporating fresh ways of interpreting modern classical, swing and other forms of music. Luna Stage continues the second season of its jazz series, 'Music In The Moonlight: An Intimate Evening of Jazz', tonight, February 10th at 7pm with a one-night only concert by acclaimed pianist and vocalist Daniela Schachter. The Linden, NJ-based pianist, vocalist, composer and arranger will be joined at Luna Stage by tenor saxophonist Joel Frahm, bassist Steve La Spina and drummer George Schuller to present 'Jazz and the American Songbook: The Music of Johnny Burke and Jimmy Van Heusen.'
