NY4OK: A one night only, star-studded benefit concert to raise funds for the public school arts programs devastated by the recent tornadoes in Oklahoma will take place on June 17th at 9:30pm at le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleeker Street). Stars of Broadway, Film, TV, and Popular Music will bring New York together in a night of live music with a silent auction and raffle prizes. All proceeds will go to rebuilding the Oklahoma school arts programs devastated by the May tornadoes. (more...)

Gerard Alessandrini's, FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING, which received unanimous raves from critics and audiences alike, broke all box-office records at the 47th Street Theatre, and won spots on the Top Ten Lists of Time Magazine and the Associated Press, will wind up its current edition at the 47th Street Theatre on Sunday, April 28, in order to make room for The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre's own season, as required by the show's lease agreement with the theatre. Following the announcement that SILENCE! The Musical would be ending its long run on December 30th, ticket sales unexpectedly soared, shattering all previous box office records for the show so far. The Musical at the new Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square. Following the announcement that SILENCE! would be ending its long run December 30th, ticket sales unexpectedly soared, shattering all previous box office records for the show so far.
