Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the 4th ANNUAL NEW WORKS FESTIVAL, April 28 - 30. THE READINGS ARE FREE. But tickets are required, as these events sell out. BroadwayWorld has just learned that film, television, and theatre actor Geoffrey Arend (MADAM SECRETARY on CBS) will be joining previously announced Stephanie J. Block and Sebastian Arcelus in Midtown Direct Rep's staged reading of THE IMPOSSIBILITY OF NOW, a new play written by Y York and directed by Will Pomerantz. Broadway actress Marni Raab (The Phantom of the Opera) will read the stage directions.

Midtown Direct Rep (MDR), kicks off its 2015-16 season at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) with Theatre in the Loft, a series of staged readings of new plays and musicals. The Impossibility of Now, written by Y York and directed by Will Pomerantz, will be performed for one night only on Sunday, October 18, 2016 at 7pm at SOPAC (One Sopac Way, South Orange, NJ, 07079).

The Production Company's Managing Director of the 2014 Reading Series, Dean Farell Bruggeman, and Artistic Directors August Viverito and T L Kolman proudly announce the third selection for the company's new-play-reading series with Ed Graczyk's beautiful The Blue Moon Dancing, directed by David Youse. The reading takes place at our new studio space, dubbed The Production Company Workspace, at 14731 Oxnard St., Van Nuys, CA 91411, on Sunday, April 27 @ 7 pm, and Monday, April 28 @ 8 PM. This holiday season, America's #1 Christmas movie comes to life on stage as a hilarious holiday musical. A Christmas Story, The Musical! features a bright holiday score by composer/lyricist team Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a book by Joseph Robinette based on the writings of radio humorist Jean Shepherd and the 1983 holiday film favorite. Acclaimed director/choreographer Warren Carlyle (Broadway's Finian's Rainbow, Follies at The Kennedy Center, An Evening With Hugh Jackman) will helm the production. Peter Billingsley, who starred as Ralphie in the original 1983 film, serves as a producer for the holiday tour.
