Though final eligibility determinations have not yet been announced, word from industry insiders is that the cutoff will be February 19, 2020- meaning that two shows that opened before the Broadway shutdown will not be considered for nominations- Girl From the North Country and West Side Story. At a ceremony tonight at the Prince of Wales Theatre hosted by Jodie Prenger and Tom Read Wilson, the winners of the 20th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards were announced. For the first time this year the event was broadcast live on BBC Radio 2 hosted by Elaine Paige and Paddy O'Connell.

Tyrone Huntley today announced the nominations for the 20th annual WhatsOnStage Awards via WhatsOnStage's social channels, the only major theatre prize-giving decided entirely by the theatregoers themselves. The announcement of the nominations marks the opening of the final voting stage (until 27 January), with winners announced at the annual Awards Concert held on 1 March 2020 at the Prince of Wales Theatre.
BWW Flashback: BETRAYAL Concludes Broadway Run Today

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Betrayal on Broadway, starring Tom Hiddleston, Zawe Ashton, Charlie Cox, and Eddie Arnold will conclude its limited engagement today, December 8, after playing 22 previews and 109 regular performances.

Tom Hiddleston was a guest on Monday night's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about Betrayal on Broadway. During the interview, Hiddleston gets embarrassed by unreleased footage of him auditioning for the part of Thor, and Jimmy tests his ability to cry on command like he does daily for Betrayal.
