Craft Recordings Launches Tribute to Gospel Truth Records

Craft Recordings is pleased to honor the music of Gospel Truth Records, a subsidiary of Stax Records, with the first-ever digital release of 25 albums from the label's catalog. Beginning today (3/13) with The Rance Allen Group's 1972 self-titled debut, the titles will be released every week in chronological order, leading up to September's Gospel Heritage Month. In addition to the digital reissues, the campaign will include a singles compilation, set to drop September 4th on vinyl, CD and digital formats, plus several playlists and new video content.
Popular Mechanicals Remount Show for Sydney Audiences

Following their riotous reception in 2015, the original cast of State Theatre Company South Australia's The Popular Mechanicals are heading east to remount the show for Sydney Theatre Company, marshalled once again by former STC Resident Director Sarah Giles. Performances are at The Wharf from 6 April to 13 May 2017.

The Chicago Public Library Foundation and the Chicago Public Library presented the 16th annual Carl Sandburg Literary Award to legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Universally heralded for his immense contributions to musical theater in a career spanning more than 50 years, Sondheim was at the Carl Sandburg Literary Awards Dinner tonight, October 21, 2015 at The Forum (725 W. Roosevelt Road) on the campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago. The event was attended by almost 700 and raised more than $1.5 million to support the initiatives of the Chicago Public Library. Scroll down for photos!
