The KBT Productions presentation of Bernard Slade's Tony-award-winning play, SAME TIME NEXT YEAR, directed by Fleur du Cap Lifetime Achievement Award winner Christopher Weare, will be performed at the Fugard Studio Theatre from 17 to 28 June 2014. Featuring Paul Du Toit and Julie Hartley, the production received rave reviews when it opened last year at the Kalk Bay Theatre and won a Standard Bank Ovation Award at last year's National Arts Festival in Grahamstown.

This April, legendary songwriter Ervin Drake will turn 95. A Long Island Music Hall of Fame Inductee, Mr. Drake has written some of the American Songbook's most beloved classics, including: 'It Was a Very Good Year,' 'I Believe,' 'Tico Tico,' 'Quando Quando Quando,' 'Perdito' and 'Good Morning, Heartache.' 2014 also marks the 50th anniversary of the Broadway production of Drake's 'What Makes Sammy Run' (starring Steve Lawrence), which featured songs 'A Room Without Windows' and 'The Friendliest Thing.' On Today, April 25 at 8 pm, Producer Sandi Durell, Musical Director Jon Weber, and Host Charles Grodin will lead a tribute to Ervin's illustrious career that will feature a star-studded cast of musical theater and cabaret stars

Charles Grodin, Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning actor, comedian, author, and former talk show host has been in the entertainment business for more than 50 years and has seen it all. From his parts in films such as Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby and The Heartbreak Kid, Catch-22, Midnight Run, Heaven Can Wait, Taking Care of Business, Seems Like Old Times, The Great Muppet Caper, The Woman in Red, The Lonely Guy, Ishtar The Couch Trip and more, Grodin has a rich treasure trove of material. In this special event at The Ridgefield Playhouse today, April 12, at 7:30 p.m., he will take the audience on a comedic roller coaster ride as he shares stories about his career and life in Hollywood. Grodin is probably best known for his role alongside Robert De Niro in the 1988 classic, Midnight Run. This event is part of The Ridgefield Magazine Broadway & Cabaret Series.

There's a Hollywood great in our midst. Famous for his many starring roles including his defining performance along side Robert De Niro in the 1988 classic Midnight Run, Charles Grodin is the recipient of Emmy and Golden Globe Awards alike. A resident of Wilton, CT and a stellar member of the entertainment industry for more than 50 years, Grodin has a lot of wisdom and humor to share about his career as a celebrated actor, comedian, author and talk show host. He is also a natural storyteller who will share his journey through Hollywood on Saturday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. The Connecticut Press Club is giving Charles Grodin the Mark Twain award for humor. Ironically, Charles Grodin was born twenty five years to the day after Mark Twain passed away. Other film credits include Rosemary's Baby, Clifford, Beethoven, The Heartbreak Kid, Catch-22, Heaven Can Wait, Taking Care of Business, Seems Like Old Times, The Great Muppet Caper, The Woman in Red, The Lonely Guy, Ishtar The Couch Trip and more. Ticket holders will enjoy a special $45 prix-fixe menu at Bernard's (20 West Lane, Ridgefield), or a free glass of wine with dinner, the day of this event when tickets are presented; reservations suggested.
