Joe Satriani confirms the release of his 14th studio album, Unstoppable Momentum, today, May 7, 2013 through Epic Records. The album was recorded at Skywalker Sound in the Bay Area and produced by Satriani and Mike Fraser (AC/DC). The album features an amazing array of talented players including Vinnie Colauita (Sting, Jeff Beck) on drums, Chris Chaney (Janes Addiction) on bass and on keyboards, Mike Keneally (Dethklok). To spread the word and get perfect strangers making music together, Guitar Mash will hold its inaugural event at City Winery today, November 11, 2012, 11:30am. The centerpiece will be a mass jam led by musical director Mark Stewart and a selection of "star guitarists" backed by a band of New York's finest session players, featuring tunes participants can download and practice prior to the show.
